Paris Portrait Session: Deja

[A Paris Portrait Session at Parc de Sceaux just outside of Paris.]

Deja and I met each other outside of a tiny train station at 7:15 a.m. To make it there on time, we both got up around 5:30…now that’s what I call dedication! Upon meeting her, I knew it was going to be a fun time. Deja is easy-going and was down for anything — including walking 15 minutes from the train station to the park! There was plenty of laughter and humorous moments — just what I like to start my day.

I’m so glad I got to meet her, because she is a teaching assistant with the Teaching Assistant Program in France and the work contract has just ended. This means Deja is returning to the States for grad school (with plans to become a social worker), but is au-pairing for a family through July. This gal juggled a teaching job while also caring for two kids in the evening — I’m impressed!

I was also super excited for this session because Deja’s outfit was just a dream. I live for dressing with flowing skirts and a good pair of heels. Let me clarify: I looooooooove photographing gals in outfits like this! Me, personally…I’d topple over in those heels before you could say “bonjour!”. So when Deja sent me an outfit preview a few days prior to our shoot, I had all the heart eyes. Seriously. Just look at how that skirt flairs! And the tones went just right with all the pink from the cherry blossoms.

Merci, Deja, for a fabulous morning and trusting me 😉 I hope you have many beautiful adventures in France and live it up before you return home…but also that you’ll find your way back here from time to time!
