Paris in the 9th Arrondissement

One of my goals for the last days in Paris was to see the local Paris. I’ve been here long enough to have seen the sights, and I’ve got the pictures to prove it. The 9th arrondissement has been growing on me for its classic Paris feel with the local vibe. There are plenty of smaller museums, cafés, and Haussmann façades that bring delight, with the quiet of a neighborhood that might be beyond the city. Colors, scooters, and flowers abound. Here are some of the results!

My Favorite Stops

  • Musée de la Vie Romantique
  • Négatif+ (where Madeleine and I stock up on film)
  • Musée Gustave Moreau
  • Palais Garnier (the ballet!)
  • KB Coffee
  • Place des Abbesses
  • Église Saint Vincent de Paul
  • Notre Dame de Lorette
  • Galeries Lafayette (rooftop views)

Paris & California strolls; plenty of flowers; stories; and looking for the beauty in the everyday. I hope you'll come along as I take the year to document the entirety of my home state!
